Also, another bit of GOOD NEWS --- In response to steroids and a small dosage of chemo, her leukemia cell count dropped from 240,000 to 36,000. This makes the possibility of a bone marrow transplant more of an option.
Emily was one of a kind. She was not defined by her Down syndrome or her illnesses but by the love she offered to family and friends. Although originally created to communicate her health status to prayer warriors, this blog is now a tribute to the impact she had on our lives.
