She had the cutest little feet and loved to tell others who painted her toenails.As we approach the one-year anniversary of losing our Emily, we regularly think about where we were and what we were doing a year ago. This time last year, Emily was celebrating Uncle Ron's birthday in her cowgirl outfit and touring the Blueridge Parkway with us. What wonderful memories!

The neatest thing--one of my graduate students printed out this picture of Emily sitting on the beach. While the student was in South Padre Island beach in Texas, she wrote "Emily" (also the name of her baby) in the sand and took a picture of it. She put the two pictures together in a frame and mailed it to us. Precious!
